I always have a hard time shopping for Valentine’s Day. My girlfriend doesn’t like chocolate because it makes her put weight on, and she doesn’t like flowers because they don’t last longer than a week. This reduces my options. Books are nice, but I don’t tend to listen to her so I don’t know what she likes.

I did find some books at Barnes & Noble – some of those vampire chick lit ones (Twilight & Vampire Academy – don’t ask me which ones, I’m not sure). And I was able to get them at a reduced price. I found a coupon code for them, so I got a massive 10% off – cool!

And that’s the best of both worlds: I can get her a book I’m sure she’ll like and I don’t have to shell out $60 for a “fancy” present she might not even like anyway. Shopping done!
